The Reason Why I Went Back To College

Here I was, turning thirty years old and realizing that the main things that I wanted to accomplish were still waiting. I have been waiting to go back to college to work on receiving a degree. (Non-Traditional students struggle with schedules, loans, 2010). There were some things I needed to do to get back to what I wanted. Have you ever felt like you just settle for the way your life is? I have and for that I spent numerous years avoiding an empty spot, wondering what it is I supposed to be doing. I took some time out of my day to see what goals I really wanted to accomplish, and the three main ones are to stop settling, accomplish my goals, and work towards a better career.

I needed to stop settling for the way things were in my life, and the way I was going to do that was by saying,” Enough is enough!” What I had settled for was a job that I do not like. I kept wondering, “When do I go out and obtain that college education that I have always been talking about?” I decided, “Right now.” One day when I was on vacation, I dropped my son off at school, and told myself that today was going to be the day that I go and look into furthering my education. I was driving back home and I thought about Daymar. When I arrived to Daymar I asked myself, “What is it that I want to be when I grow up?” I had settled for working in a factory for eight years, and I am so tried. I decided I always wanted to have my own business. Now I am working toward a degree in business, and I feel good about this because I am not settling anymore.

I set my goals; however, I would not always satisfy them because I did not write them down. When I started writing my goals down, they became more realistic to me.
