In this article Adiele a basic PLUS level expert author review how the motives and traits of candidates show get more attention than their qualifications and experiences. The author reflexes that motive and traits are a part of the selection process. When there is an open in the company, human resource should always look inward to fill that position first. The main limitation of the article was that a good selection process should be used. The article was helpful, because it outline some important question in the selection process. This information was very helpful in recruitment, selection and performance appraisal by recruiting the right person to fill the job.

In this article Heathfield a Human Resources expert says that the traditional performance appraisal process does not work. The author says that most performance is taking from what a manager can remember usually the most recent events and uncomfortable in doing the appraisal.
The main limitation is that the performance appraisals are not successful. This article helps by the author showing how a great employee left a company for another opportunity. I disagree with the author the performance appraisal aims at keeping a record of how well an employee is performing in her or his job. With the good training of mangers the performance appraisal would set higher goals for employees. This article was helpful with recruitment, selection and performance appraisal.
