Facebook can be used for helping business and organizations in several ways whether it be for publicity, networking with other companies, or simply getting feedback from their customers. When an organization starts thinking about ways to advertise social media is usually one of the first things that come up, and usually Facebook is the first one that comes up. But how does a company go about doing this, many organizations in my opinion are underusing Facebook and not using its full capabilities. When a business uses Facebook they may usually just post things once or twice and not really follow up with people who like their page or push their site. With Facebook you must constantly be posting interesting things to keep your consumer interested. Also, companies don’t realize that Facebook now keeps tracks of their demographics and stats. This new added feature really allows the business/organization find a niche market and really be able to target their specific consumers. As a company you must realize that advertising online is a lot cheaper than advertising on print and typically has a higher reach. Facebook has the capability to advertise to consumers that have already liked your page and reach out to their friends for a small fee. For example, you are a company that sells male cologne if you pay the small fee, of $100, and are able to reach out to 75,000 people that means your company paid less than 1 penny for someone to here about your business.

Another way Facebook can help a business/organization achieve there mission statement is by allowing the company to accept feedback. Generally for a business page people can post on the wall offering a lot of suggestion or provided feedback on certain services. As a business this really important to take into account what other people have to say about your company.
