Problem Statement:

I need to decide, within the next two months, which of these three jobs is the best choice for myself in regard to salary and location.

Stakeholders:

Myself, my family and my long-term girlfriend are the main stakeholders in this decision. It is important that I am not too far away from them so that I can visit without much restraint.

Success Criteria:

The success of my decision will be based on my potential salary, benefits, location and the happiness of my family and girlfriend.

Context of the assignment: I am looking for a good paying job with benefits that is close to my family and girlfriend.

Scope:

Inside Scope: Research the salaries, economic benefit and cost of living, distance from family, visit one location each week for the next three weeks

Outside Scope: career development, travel

Media of Product:

The result would be to decide on a career with a salary that is the best for me financially, within an area that is approved by my family and girlfriend.

Assigned Resources:

My family and girlfriend will be members of my team who will help me to research the locations as well as find a safe area in which to live. I will need to allocate a budget for travel expenses in order to visit the companies in the next three weeks as well as moving expenses. I have two months to have this completed.

Potential Risks:

There are various risks involved with each of these job options. For example; possible financial crisis, the risk in starting your own company, lack of synergy or teamwork within a business, negative business environment, lack of career development, as well as competition.
