As per your request, I have looked over the Exploring Business Scholarship forum and have pinpointed the key issues and emerging trends for communicating with colleagues and coworkers. They are as follows:

• Importance of communication in any business setting. In any type of business, communication is a must. Being able to communicate with employees will make any business run smoothly. In an article titles, Employee Communication Strategies Organization Crises there are helpful tips for an organization to communicate during a crisis. Another article about communication in the financial industry provided by kimbro07 states that maintaining an open line of communication with employees will help in employee retention. Keeping employees happy will help to keep employees longer. In the health care industry, written communication is essential so each patient received the best quality care. Orders need to be written clearly and must be correct to ensure patients get the correct tests, medications, and treatments. In an article provided by brownr13, it discusses the problems of getting communications from one doctor to another when some documents are electronic and others are still written. To be able to get all of the documents to another doctor is vital to the patients care.

• Clear communication in the business setting. Making written communication clear is very important. Making it so there is no room for misinterpretation is the key. In the article Manage the Message provided by Kip Cruz it shows how communication problems arise and how to avoid them. It also describes the elements of communication that make them clear. It suggests that to make communications clear they should have context, be structured logically, focus on essential elements by removing ambiguity, and provide examples by providing visuals if necessary.
