In my opinion, Deloitte LLP has a lot going for them! They have definitely furthered the Women’s Initiative as discussed in McKracken’s research. The Deloitte Women’s Initiative (WIN), was launched in 1993 to create a better environment for the women of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and its subsidiaries (“the Deloitte U.S. Firms”). In the process, it helped build a better environment for all of its people.

In the beginning, most partners felt that if there was a problem at all, it was society’s or women’s, not Deloitte’s. How wrong we were, and how far we’ve come.--Douglas McCracken. The 1993 WIN Task Force Recommendations were to Establish a Leadership Program; Promote the idea of Men and Women as Colleagues; Enhance Career Opportunities for Women; Support the Balance of Multiple Commitments and to Build Goals into our Business Planning and HR Processes.

The Deloitte Women’s Initiative clearly shows how it is furthering women. It drives marketplace growth and creates a culture where the best women choose to be. Key WIN Tenets are:

- WIN is a business case

-Lead from the center

-Extraordinary results require extraordinary actions

-You are judged by the company you keep

-Investments must accrue benefits for the entire organization
