Energy Resource Plan

Today I would like to discuss like to discuss the energy issue our community is facing. I would like to propose an Energy Resource Plan to help our community. First, I would like to discuss the importance of Energy Conservation and its benefits by distinguishing between renewable and non-renewable resources, describe methods to reduce consumption, and list ways governmental efforts can conserve power. As will all know, our population increasing at a steady pace, while our resources are dwindling. We need to take action now on cutting our dependence on non-renewable fuels and start being more dependent on renewable resources, in order to help save our environment. When extracting energy from non-renewable fuels, they must go through a process that releases sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon dioxides into the air causing global warming and respiratory sickness within the human population. We need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and prevent an energy shortage in the future by seeking out new forms of energy production now. There are many several things that we can do to conserve energy and help the environment. We can start by purchasing energy efficient appliances, installing new windows, and insulating your home in order to retain heat in the winter and contain cool air in the summer. We can also purchase compact fluorescent light bulbs that use less energy and last longer than incandescent light bulbs. You should also consider purchasing a hybrid car if you decide to purchase a new vehicle; a hybrid is more fuel efficient vehicle that uses less gasoline and more electricity. The government also needs to take action to conserve energy and help the environment. The government should lead everyone in an effort to use more renewable resources, such as wind energy and solar power.
