Forces for Change

Internal Forces

Forces for change effecting Synergetic Solutions includes the stale integration market and the need to be innovative to grow their revenue base. Once the executive committee agrees on a direction and a change agent has been implemented the next internal force driving change will be the executives providing advice to the change agent. The leader should balance the desired targets with expert advice to ensure personal agendas are not being met. Objective advice should be provided and not subjective advice of personal motive. The final internal force effecting the change will be the competencies of the current staff and their perception as to whether they can rise to the standard or obtain the new skills for the change.

External Forces

As internal business decisions are made these could affect external business partners. If decisions are made in which strategic partnership are not considered could cause the partnerships to dissolve and Synergetic lose competitive advantages over their competitors. Employee morale and absenteeism can have devastating impacts on change implementation. If key employees become frustrated lose the vision for the change then their biases toward moving become stronger to resist the change. Synergetic should provide means in which employees can provide feedback and opinion and the change process and provide data to aid management in the transition.

Implementing Strategy

Change agents responsible for implementing change at Synergetic need to consider employee competencies and the advice provided by executives. A proper balance of these factors and utilizing one of two change models can aid the leadership in implementing change within the organization.
