The acquisition between Interclean and Envirotech is complete. Interclean has chosen the staff who will be responsible for the sales of Interclean's cleaning products and services. To fulfill Interclean's mission of providing high-quality products and high-quality-service, the staff will be provided training in the additional skills not previously required by the company to perform his or her job. The areas of focus for the training program will align with Interclean's vision of performing and offering services at a level that will be the dominant factor in providing sales revenue for the company (Interclean). Training will provide the employees with planned programs to improve performance at the individual, group, and organizational levels (Cascio, 2005, p. 3). In training, employees are given the opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills, and social behaviors (Cascio, 2005, p. 3).
In conducting the training and mentoring program for Interclean, an assessment of focus areas for training will be conducted. There are four levels of analysis that need to be determined to provide an effective training analysis. The levels of analysis include organizational, demographic, operations, and individual (Cascio, 2005, p.10). In analyzing these areas, determination will be made in regard to the focus areas of training, to whom to provide training, the content of information to include in the training, and an analysis of the individual skills of the employees performing the duties of his or her job.
In completing the assessment, determination has been made to provide training to all sales employees of Interclean. The sales staff of Interclean will need training in areas of OSHA standards, the correct use of Material Safety Data Sheets, and sales contract development. The staff will also be...
