First and the foremost we thank our thesis supervisors who guided us throughout our research project. We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our mentors, we are also thankful to the organizations and professionals who contributed in gathering the primary data used for the empiric cal analysis.

ABSTRACT

In this research we try to identify the relation between the organizational characteristics and organizational archiving strategies, the test used to analyze the relationship between these two variables is Pearson Chi-square which tells that either the variables have the dependency or not. In this study the results which inspected the characteristics of an organization affecting the strategies an organization uses to archive the information are presented. A random sample of 100 organizations was drawn from the population and the primary data was collected through employees by the means of questionnaires. The characteristics variable has a sub-divided category of five different characteristics including nature of the organization, ownership structure, and management structure, origin of the company and years of existence in Pakistan.
