Ancient Art
The two works that I am going to compare and contrast is: The Ancient Rome by Giovanni Paolo Panini and Bronze chariot inlaid with ivory. These two work of art have differences and similarities; the form of art is Ancient Rome. It is a two-dimensional art, the materials that are used are paint, and the process that was used was to determine how the painting was going to look. The colors that were used were: red, blue, gold, white, and light brown. The texture is very smooth, the lining shows that everything is painted perfect, the painting shows different shapes in the painting like: rectangles, circles, squares, and triangles. It does not have subject matter. The second work of art is Bronze chariot inlaid with ivory; this is a two-dimensional work of art, the materials that were used paint brushes. The technique that was used was deciding how to set up the sculpture and what it was going to look like. The colors that were used were gold and bronze. It does not have any subject matter; the work is representational. The Ancient Rome has beautiful colors and the sculpture does not. Both have the same uniqueness about; the painting has style and the bronze does not. The Ancient Rome meaning is that it telling a story about the ancient culture and the people that participated in it; the bronze sculpture does not tell a story or have any meaning.
The art is Ancient Roman art from 500 BC, this work of fits the context of the time period because it tells a story. It fits in the time period because it shows the uniqueness of the Ancient Rome and the individuals that lived in the Ancient Rome era.
