Amazon was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos as a shop in a converted garage which later turned out to be an online retailing store in 1995. The company’s headquarters is in Washington and it runs six global websites for its domestic customers in US, UK, Germany, France, Japan and Canada. Thus in 1998, the company got hold as an online bookstore in U.K. and Germany which was their first international expansion of business and later got a set up as an auction site in 1999.

At the present moment, it works as a Web site that not only provides books of all genres but also a variety of products and services which include music DVDs, software, kitchen items, tools, lawn and garden items, toys and games, baby products, sporting goods, beauty and health care items, gourmet food, clothing and shoes and other grocery products. The company is also associated with other vendors who propose a range of innovative, renewed and second-handed objects in all these categories mentioned above. Thus it is a very user friendly site which put forwards effortless features such as one click shopping together with email order verification and customer reviews.
