Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.

People go through all sorts of struggle throughout their lives whether it be severe or incomplex. As it is said in I Am Number Four, “No. Don't give up hope just yet. It's the last thing to go. When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope.” Successful people don’t always win, they face setbacks just like everyone else does, the key is not to give up and see these challenges as opportunities and not failures. There are no quick fixes in life and anything of real worth will take much struggle and perseverance. My family has been through so much and the person to always tell my brothers and I not to lose hope was my mom. After all these words my mom had told us, we had lost numerous things. Although my family had felt like we had lost all hope, my mom’s simple words had helped us get through the difficult times. I was still only a child back then and I did not fully comprehend the situation occurring around me and I did not notice how hard my loved ones were working just to get dinner on the table or pay our bills. As a child, I was actually always home alone because both my brothers and my mom were working overtime. Recently, my brother moved to Arizona and we skyped frequently. He told me about never giving up your dreams and also told me about the obstacles my mom had to overcome in order to get our family where we are today. My brother said to me, “Mom is like our hero and I have never seen a stronger person.” From then on, I have gone by this quote almost my entire life.
