The Blacklist – Review

The Blacklist makes it onto my “Must see list”

The Black List is a new American crime/drama series from NBC. Where, James Spader, famous from Boston Legal, plays the lead role as Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted criminals. Raymond Reddington has a list, "The Black List", with names of dangerous criminals and terrorists which he may share with the FBI if they play by his rules and meets his demands. Even thou it feels like we have heard this before and most likely seen it before, The Blacklist does actually deliver, episode after episode. Sure, there are diaologues that makes you want to shut off the TV but just as you are ready to give up, James Spader will convince you to stay tuned.

The series premiered on NBC on 10 September 2013. After watching the first three episodes, I feel comfortable to say that “The Black List” is one of few glowing stars in what looks to be a dark fall. James Spader is in my opinion the main reason to why this serie stands out, he is spectacular, as usual. I would have preferred Angelina Jolie but we have to make due with Megan Boone as the FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen. She does her part OK, nothing more, nothing less. The Blacklist has great potential to become even better so Im hoping to see more familiar faces in the episodes to come and hopefully they manage to add a couple of more heavy hitters like James Spader to the cast as the series evolves.

I give it four out of five stars. Get Angelina Jolie to join the cast and you have your fifth…
