Chapter 1: Introduction

1.1 Public Service Announcement

Public Service Announcement (PSA) is to inform the public about significant information or promote some community cause by FREE advertising. The audience constituency or local community will be benefit because the media donated the air time or space to the behalf organizations.

Beneficial information, provide useful to the public are the generally objective and serve by the media. Moreover, Radio and Television are majority provide the service by the media. Besides that, media provide free advertising is not necessary by law because PSA is factually provided by the media.

1.2Aristotle

Aristotle was a materialist philosopher, and he developed Logic and Ethics as an important element, the majority of the distant- reaching medieval scholars moral and logical was influenced by its ideological. Besides that, he assumed the objective and scientific study for the main fields of knowledge such as physics, ethics, arts, logic, and the natural history. For the Aristotle, its essence was not perfect but they changes. Aristotle, its essence is not perfect, but the changes. His highest goal is "a better life", rather than a life of ease, but the morals of life.

Aristotle was among the first theorist to present a unified theory of persuasion. The persuasion of Aristotle was more recorded in the ‘THE RHETORIC’. Besides that, he was served for centuries as a valuable account of persuasion by his theory. Persuaders use several proof to persuade the audiences such as artistic proof and inartistic proof. The Aristotle was described the three main form in the artistic proof, that are ethos, pathos and egos.
