Should economists fear auto lending as a characteristic of an increased appetite for risk in an economy?

Abstract

The research has been conducted to evaluate the concept of auto finance. The aim of the research was to find out different modes of finance and perception of customers about those modes. Triangulation methodology has been adopted in order to conduct the research. Primary data has been conducted through questionnaire survey and interviews. Findings of the research are presented I the form of graphs and charts. The results of the research suggest that secured mode of loans are more effective as compared to unsecured modes of financing. Auto lease is expensive mode of auto finance because it charges heavier amount. Businessmen prefer auto lease because it provides them tax benefit. Secured loans are easy to get as compared to unsecured loans. It has been found that companies worry about the easy terms and conditions of auto financing because they are initiator of defaults. Companies need to develop strong criteria foe auto finance in order to avoid defaults.
