Job Description

This is a job description for my current position as the Chief of Logistics for Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (AFMMAST). This description will outline the tasks that need to be accomplished, the tools and technology needed, the knowledge you must possess, the skills and abilities you need to have, and the educational requirements. I will also describe the selection method s that will be used to select candidates, resumes and interviews.

As the Chief of AFMMAST logistics you will be responsible for following orders from the program administrator and the division chief, this is also the chain of command that will be used. The duty location is on Randolph Air Force Base Texas, a background check will need to be accomplished to gain access to the installation. The duty title for the position will be Chief of Logistics. The position resides in the Surgeon Generals Modernization department.

The task associated with this position are made up of planning and programming documents to identify shortfalls and define the nature and scope of acquisition efforts. You must be able to develop detailed spreadsheets for property accountability and tracking of all Air Force simulation equipment. You will complete a comparison/benefit analysis of current or projected programs, and developed lifecycle cost analyses. In addition you will need to assist the Program Administrator with funding planning, financial planning, unfunded requirement drills, contract renewals, and the POM process analyzing the support of the program. Finally you must collect, compile, coordinate and submit information for the preparation of reports to senior leadership to include strategy and training sessions.
