Laws help the general public as well as keep many parts in community.

The Function of Law

Law is essentially a “body of rules of actions or conducts determined by a regulating authority that has legal binding force” (Melvin, 2011). The law as we may know it, are basically regulations and guidelines applied by the governing body that provide help in deciding how a community is to perform, it also controls criminal activities and family conflicts. It's also responsible for how those accountable for upholding the law conduct themselves. The law is responsible for outlining and keeping the integrity of national politics, community, and economics while serving as a intermediary to the associations of individuals. Law has a big part in how communities decide its moral standards and they carry out their lives as well. These functions incorporate but are not limited to, private liberties, keeping the peace, economic development, safeguarding the atmosphere, encouraging social rights, and even having the government’s authority under control. Without these fundamentals in our community, disorder and anarchy reign supreme.
