The relationships I see between the ideas that I have brainstormed are technical in nature to solve an issue. Education is at the core of all the supporting points. I believe that by having a portfolio of my work I can prove that all the work is my own without fear of becoming a plagiarist. I can give credit for code and images that I might possibly use, learn from, or modify.

The following are possible research questions regarding Web Development Employment.

How long will it take a person to develop a particular skillset, whether graphical in nature (frontend) or programming (backend)?

Will potential employers prefer job seekers that have degrees from a traditional school as opposed to online only learners?

I think the research question that will help me the most is finding out what side of the web development field to pursue, frontend, or backend. I have found out the difference between the two and my preference is more visually orientated. I prefer creating graphically interesting pieces that reinforce the point I am trying to make. My background is already in that area, having earned an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Computer Imaging and Animation. I have worked for an employer that used HTML code and did not like the lack of freedom to create pieces. I did have to use more of a problem-solving creativity approach to create the product the customer wanted as opposed to more of a freethinking environment.

The resources that I will be using are the CTU library, virtual commons, and fellow CTU students. I will be researching professional Web Developer organizations to join and soliciting feedback from current Web Developers. I will need...
