White blood cells, red blood cells, plasma, and platelets.

It measures the number of cells and volume of cells.

The erythrocyte looks like a disk-shaped and bi-concaves. Their function is carry oxygen into the body.

7. How do mature erythrocytes differ from immature ones?

The mature erythrocytes are flexible and do not contain a nucleus. The immature erythrocyte does have a nucleus.

8. What is a normal RBC Count?

RBC count measures the amount of red blood cells in a sample. It makes an estimate of how much there is an a person’s blood. For adult males it is nearly 4.8-6.2 million cells per mm cube and for adult females would be around 4.4-5.4 million cells per mm cube.

A protein called hemoglobin makes blood red.

The average life is about 120 days.
