OUTLINE OF AN ARGUEMENTATIVE ESSAY ON INTERFAITH MARRIAGE
I. Introduction
A. Background information: Interfaith marriages, in which partners believe and belong to different religious traditions, are a good or bad idea
B. Thesis Statement: because of the challenging that somebody has to face in a union of two people with different believe, interfaith marriage is a bad idea
I .I Reasons that Support the Thesis Statement
A.A. Reason/Argument 1 (main point#1)
1.1. Supporting paragraph 1: interfaith marriage fails at higher rates, than same faith marriage due to the fact that two people in an interfaith marriage have different consequently different view point.
2.2. Supporting paragraph 1: a survey of 2001 found out that, people who had been mixed-religious marriages, were three times more likely to be divorced or separated, than those who were in the same-religious marriages.
B.B. Reason /Argument 2 (main point/2)
1.1. Supporting paragraph 2: interfaith marriage couples encounter a lot of conflicts and challenges. They do not succeed to find a common ground
2.2. As the bible itself say: how can two walk together unless they are in agreement?
C.C. Reason /argument 3 (main point/3)
1.1. Supporting paragraph 3: the lack of support in the union, sometimes people get into interfaith marriage without the approval or consent of their religious leader or their family. It end up creating conflict with the couple and their family in law ,who do not agreed with the union .the couples then start going through a lot of stress in their matrimonial home.
2.2. Supporting paragraph 3: Riley research, on interfaith couples, says “they are less happy in their marriages than same faith couples ’’.
