Marketing is the process by which companies create value for customers and build strong customers in return. Marketing is important because it enhances the production and distribution of products and services and makes happy customers .

Production concept focusses on improving production and distribution efficiency. While the Selling Concept believes that, the customer will not buy the product unless the product is highly promoted and is sold on large-scale.

The marketing department main functions are Planning, Leading the company’s other departments, Implementing the ideas that were planned out and Control.

Production concept focusses on improving production and distribution efficiency. The product concept focuses on product quality, performance and features and so focuses on continuous product improvements.

The marketing concept’s idea is that the company should create and achieve goals to satisfy the target market and get the satisfaction of customers. The company must also do all this more efficiently than its competitors. The company must do this by understanding the customer’s needs, want and behaviour. The company must also understand the development of products and services. The company must have a good relationship with the customers, and must find ways to build a long-term relationship between customer and organisation. Creating new products that satisfy and meet customer’s specifications and needs, creating new promotion initiatives and creating Value can do this. The company should also make well use of the Brand and manage it well as the brand helps position the product or service of the company in the heart and soul of the customer/consumer. The brand is who the company is.
