UniPreneur is a free course developed in early 2012 by Nikolay Piryankov (co-founder of Rare Pink – online jewellery retailer) to help students and recent graduates start their own on-line business within a week. In March participants took part in the first course with the goal of earning their first revenue by the end of the program.

The course we have created may be free, but it is an intensive 3 day crash course into how you start, promote and run your first business.

We have designed the course so that NO prior knowledge and NO technical skills are necessary. All we ask is for you to put aside partying, friends, and even lectures (yes, you better believe it) for 3 days. This course is far more important than a few lectures you will miss and you can always catch up (or sneak out for an hour if you really have to).

Here is a brief introduction to what you would be doing during the 3 day course:

FRIDAY

- meet your team (one computer science/IT student will be paired with 2 other students)

- meet some awesome mentors

- brainstorm on your business idea. Don’t have 1? No worries! You will be given some options for one to choose from

- learn about business idea validation, building lean, outsourcing, and business models.
