According to the video, Mike Winchell does not show the characteristic of motivation in the early sequel. He has no confident in himself as they are facing a team much larger than them. He is afraid to lose more than to win. When Coach Gaines ask him, “Can you get the job done?” he is not motivated and does not has the intention to play ball. As we can see from the video, Mike did not look to his coach face when his coach asks him the question. He is scared and not focused about the game and his future. Besides that, Mike is afraid of losing his mother. He cannot afford to leave the house because he wants to take care of his mother. By doing so, it will give him the strength and focus to focus on his goals and do what is best for him.
