In order to obtain a crisp depiction of the final product, several stakeholders from Riordan Manufacturing should be consulted. The COO, or Chief Operations Officer, will be the first stakeholder consulted and is responsible for the budget and payroll; he is also the one who requested the upgrade of the system. The Chief Legal Officer will then be consulted, as he facilitates the legal responsibilities portion of the human resources programs. In addition to these, the individual human resources managers within the individual facilities should be consulted, as they are the stakeholders who oversee recruitment and benefits for potential and current associates. Lastly, the accountant who handles payroll and bonuses and the payroll specialist should be consulted. (Apollo, 2011).

Information-gathering Techniques; Systems Analysis Tools

First, interviews will be conducted in order to gather information needed. These, as well as surveys, have been proven to be quite effective in obtaining information within a company. As the interviews are conducted, body language, attitudes, work experiences, evaluations, and opinions regarding the current system should be noted and used to determine the median needs. These interviews provide a first-hand record and account of which matters should be taken into consideration by the system analyst. (Havelka and Lee, April 25, 2002).

The interview process must be meticulously organized so that no meetings or interactions are wasted. A standard, comprehensive checklist should be drafted before and utilized during each interview. It will prove essential that each interviewer utilizes a prepared interview guide and is familiar enough with its contents to be able to ask questions while still maintaining professionalism and observing body language and non-verbal cues.
