In the face of this exciting change, it is easy to forget the quiet beginnings of Délifrance. It was only a decade ago when Tony Tancaktiong, President of the Jollibee Foods Corporation, first traveled to Singapore and witnessed the success of the trendy French cafe known as Délifrance.

Having seen the potential of Délifrance and its unique dining experience, the food magnate proposed to take Délifrance into the folds of Jollibee Foods Corporation. The trendy French cafe fit right in since it shares the Jollibee Group’s mission of serving great tasting food, bringing the joy of eating to everyone.

Staying in tune with the ever-changing Filipino tastes, the Jollibee Group decided that Délifrance Philippines would not just be a spin-off of other branches in the region. “While other Délifrance branches work within a restaurant-style ‘bistro concept’, we decided on a modern European cafe setting that better suits the needs of Filipinos,” explains William Tan-Untiong, President of Délifrance Philippines.

French-inspired Culinary Heritage

From its debut fourteen years ago, Délifrance Philippines has become synonymous to freshly baked signature breads—the baguette and croissant.

“Our breads are well loved because of their impeccable quality. To make these pastries, we use premium flour imported from the largest milling company in France, Grands Moulins de Paris,” says Tan-Untiong.

The precise attention to freshness and taste Délifrance puts into its breads also extends to its European-inspired pastas, sandwiches and salads. Their bestseller, the French Dip Roast Beef Sandwich and Seafood Marinara top the list. All these are prepared immediately upon ordering, since Délifrance abides by a tradition of freshness. “Stale bread and soggy lettuces are definite no-no’s for us,” says Tan-Untiong.
