Suicide Blasts near Iran Embassy kill 23

* 2 Suicide bombers detonated explosions outside the Iranian Embassy.

* The bombings appeared to be another strike in an intensifying proxy battle over Syria’s civil war is rattling its smaller neighbor Lebanon.

* The bombing was one of the deadliest in a string of attacks that have targeted Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon in recent months.

* Iran’s former minister blamed Israel for the attacks.

* Hezbollah and Syrian officials indirectly blamed Saudi Arabia.

* The current system allows the police the people to detail petty offenders.

* As a part of the reforms, China said it will reduce the number of crimes subject to the death penalty.

* Currently, both parents must be sole children to be eligible for a second child.

* The law may hurt China’s elderly, who typically rely on their children for support in old age, and even constrains economic growth as the working age population begins to decline.
