Abstract
Souraj Salah is a Ph.D. Candidate studying at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He received Graduate Student Award for 2007/2008 and 2008/2009. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a registered professional engineer.
Abdur Rahim is a Professor of Quantitative Methods, Quality Control, Inventory Control, Reliability, Production Management, Operations Management and Total Quality Management at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
Juan A. Carretero is an Associate Professor of Computer Simulation of Mechanical Systems, Optimization in Design, and Robotics at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
For organizations to be successful, the use of well-structured management systems (MSs), a quality management (QM) approach and continuous improvement (CI) methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS), are essential.
