Macropsia | A disorder of visual perception in which objects appear larger than their actual size. |

Malacia | A softening or loss of consistency in any of the organs or tissues. |

Malaise | A vague feeling of bodily discomfort, as at the beginning of an illness. |

Malignant | Tending to become worse and end in death. |

Malingering | The act of intentionally feigning or exaggerating physical or psychological symptoms for personal gain. |

Narcissism | Excessive love or admiration of oneself. |

Narcolepsy | A disorder marked by excessive daytime sleepiness, uncontrollable sleep attacks, and cataplexy (a sudden loss of muscle tone, usually lasting up to half an hour). |

Narcosis | Reversible depression of the central nervous system produced by drugs, marked by stupor or insensibility. |

Natriuresis | Excretion of sodium in the urine, particularly in excessive amounts. |

Natriuretic | A chemical compound that may be used to inhibit the tubular reabsorption of ions from glomerular filtrate, especially sodium ions, thereby resulting in greater amounts of that ion in the urine. |

Naturopathy | A system of therapeutics in which surgery and prescription medications are avoided, and preparations such as vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbs are used to treat and prevent disease. |
