For any organization to succeed in its operations, it must have a fully functional and strong marketing department. This is the department which is responsible for performing marketing research to enable the sale of goods and services to the right people, in the right manner and at the right time.

In order for the marketing plan to operate in the line of the organization’s vision, mission and objectives, it should conduct research before doing anything in its operations. This research would include the following. To begin with, it should conduct a research about who its customers are. In case of McBride, the customers are those people who are in need of houses. By collecting data on these people, McBride organization is able to know the best way to design its services in order to fit those customers in the best way possible and thus win a large clientele. The data to be collected includes the following. First, it is good to look at the population characteristics like age, sex and race. This will help the McBride organization to be able to design the best mortgage packages for the specific clients who are available. In fact, it would be useless to cover the purchase of cheap old-fashioned house when dealing with a young client who needs the expensive new house designs. Again, it is important to gather information about the economic status of the target clients. This would help McBride to be able to design the best mortgage services and plans which would fit the customers.

During the research plan, the organization is able to get information about the untapped market and be able to serve that clientele in the most effective manner basing on the data which it collects about this group of people which includes but not limited to; the gender, sex, economic status, race and the house tastes and preferences of those groups which have not been served...
