“Home is the core and end of all virtues.”

What a person acts now reflects what did his family have done for him/her from the time of his/her birth to the moment he/she is able to make his/her own decision. He/she may be a protagonist or an antagonist of this world. Parents have the key role in rearing their children into good ones. One common example is establishing conservatism at home. In here, parents used to apply censorship in many instances. The question is, does censorship really mold a person in a nice way?

Censorship controls the children to witness all visual depictions that are obscene and risky in nature. But in some cases, there are situations that cannot be controlled from happening. So what do the parents is doing? They try to edit or conceal the real meaning of those events that may warp the view of a child regarding that particular event. This is done for some reasons.

First, parents deviate the children from learning such stuffs. Second, they avoid their children from engaging in sexual activities at early age. And last, they avoid being disrespected by the youth. Of course, no good parents want their children acquiring a kind of detrimental knowledge because they are too young. So they tend to change the words they utter. For example, when a child asks his/her mother what did the newly wed couple did in the movie he/she had watched, the mother will just say that, “They do nothing, they just sleep together. The weather is hot that time that’s why they take their shirts off.”

There’s a consequence in every decision made. Forbidding a thing increases its attractiveness. That’s the reason why the level of curiosity of the children increases. Because they don’t get the right answer from their parents, they tend to seek the answers by themselves. Another tendency is that, the children still do those things because their parents do not notify them that doing such is unethical at their very young age.
