The Environment

The environment is what surrounds us. Land, water, air, plants, animals, solid wastes and other things that are surrounding us are all part of our environment. In order to have a healthy environment it is up to us humans to take good care of it. Unfortunately, this mentality is not always obeyed in day to day life and our environment is becoming destroyed.

The environment around us consists of many different topics and issues. One little change in our environment is enough to determine the course of mankind. The world can only be preserved when we take action to study and save it. When one becomes more knowledgeable on the effects of their actions and how they will cause a difference, they will help to keep a healthy environment and let everyone live an enjoyable life. Naturally humans tend to point fingers at others and blame them for not taking good care of the environment without performing a change themselves. It appears as if humanity has refused to accept that proper environmental management is everyone's duty.

From an early age, parents should plant the idea that it is up to their children to take care of their environment and show them by practicing this value themselves in everyday life. Children should learn from the beginning that their surroundings should be valued and not abused. We need to preserve and restore the environment through education, change of lifestyle, and work towards better laws and policies to protect the Earth. Humanities craze on industrialization to make work easier has resulted in the deficiency of Earth’s natural resources. Environmental appreciation through education is vital, and preservation or restoration is not easily redone. It requires cooperation, determination, and consistency in order to be accomplished.
