According to the definition given by the world health organization Health refers to no merely the absence of infirmity or disease, but it is a state of complete mental, physical and social well being. whereas wellness has been defined as the efforts or willingness an individual takes to meet the above given definition of health. Wellness have been defined as that power of choice of the human beings that they can utilize their ability to take action toward optimal health. The optimal health can be achieved in one’s life only when an individual is willing to achieve it, he can do it by making the proper environment for a healthier lifestyle, it is a universal fact that there is no fix scale to measure that up to what extent the person has an optimal health therefore research has found that it is only the individual who can make his life healthier by developing certain healthy habits. The individual should admit that the human body has three dimensional aspects that are body, mind and spirit. On the other side the opposite phenomenon to health and wellness is defined as diseases and illness which refers to such condition of an individual in which any of his body parts is not properly working or is working inefficiently. Illness is that condition of a body in which the person is not feeling healthy and there is disorder in his regular bodily conditions.

Variables that can affect health.

Different people have different perspective regarding their health so it is not possible to have a standard approach toward those variables that can affect the health of individuals.
