However mobile jaw crusher, the impact crusher also has a weakness: the flat hammer and impact plate of impact crusher are easy to be abraded, especially in the process of crushing hard ore, so they shall be changed frequently.

1. Reasons for the abrasion

During the crushing process, rotor and flat hammer of impact crusher will be abraded and impacted unevenly by the raw crushing material, and then the clearance will appear between the surface of the flat hammer and rotor. When the impact crusher is running, the rotor will vibrate because after being abraded, the gravity center of rotor and its rotation center will be far from each other which will produce additional centrifugal force. In this way, the bearing will be abraded prematurely and bend. That will influence the installation of flat hammer which has to suspend and bear bending shear force. Hence, the service life of flat hammer will be shortened. The screw of flat hammer will often break off or bend, which will affect the regular work of impact crusher.

2. Solutions for the abrasion

(1) Ensure the balance of rotor parts when repair the rotor and change the flat hammer.

② After the clearing, inject the machine oil and rotate the rotor by hand till it can rotate flexibly and conveniently.
