Course Reflection

I have taken a lot from this class for example I never knew that the government funded children with disabilities in order for them to attend school. I always just assumed they were granted the same free opportunity that children without disorder were given my image of children with disabilities have not changed very much though we as teachers would have to make moderations to accomadate the special needs child they can surprise and be just as bright as a normal child would be just depending on the type of disability, but all in still they are still children. As a teacher I know that every child learns differently and at their own pace so guess the answer to the question of what I have considered for different learning styles is to work with the child to figure out what work style help them successfully. Though I see disabled children the same as any other child I would not want to work with them in my future however if the opportunity was given to me based on the what I have learned in this class I would make sure that the curriculum that I used inside the classroom would accommodate all the children that in my class whether they are disabled are not. One topic that I would want to learn more about that we discussed in this class would be about children with disabilities I enjoyed what I did learn in this class however if feel that I could have taken in more and gotten a better understanding of how to work them, help them and adapt to them my main concern to this is because I have never had any experience being around or working with a disabled child so I feel that it could be in my best interest on day if I need this information to have it handy for myself or anyone else who may need it.
