RE: Sports Memorabilia Software (SMS) V-12 Implementation Training Budget

The SMS V-12 software program used for the implementation project has been given the clearance to move forward with the 2-day offsite training course for the administrator, managers, and end users. In this memorandum, many of the expenses ate noted in detail and listed below.

Primary Expenses

First, the trainer’s fee demands consideration. The average salary for a Training Specialist is $52,500 (glassdoor, nd) per year, which breaks down to approximately $27.34 per hour. As the classes will last seven and a half hours on each of the two days, the trainer’s pay totals $410.10 ($27.34 X 15 hrs) and includes room and board. Since ACME Sports Authentication is based out of Billings, MT and is an independent organization, airfare is required for transport to the training location in Seattle, WA.

Roundtrip airfare on Alaskan Airlines costs $297 per passenger (Orbitz, 2013). Including the administrator and the three managers, there are 22 end users, totaling 26 employees attending the classes, and costing $7,722 ($297 X 26) in airfare.

In addition, there will be the cost of room and board. Since the company is managing a contract with the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center, they get great group rates, costing them $89 per night for double queens. Since there are 12 female employees and 14 male employees, each room is shared, only using 13 rooms. This comes to $2,314 ($89 X 13 X 2) in room and board costs. Each morning includes a continental breakfast complimentary of the hotel and a lunch will be provided both days, via a buffet, specified in the contract 360 Software Solutions has with the hotel. All other meals are at employee’s expense.
