1. Prior to starting EET, what types of things did Michael and Sheena do to help themselves build entrepreneurial knowledge/skills?

The EET was a gradual accumulation of small actions. Prior to starting EET, Michael and Sheena started to building relationships with people in their market enabling them to understand their customers’ needs and wants.

2. What motivated Michael and Sheen to start EET?

Michael and Sheena needed to generate more profit and one thought was to sell more books to schools and youth organization to generate income. Eventually they started to have speaking engagements, and eventually EET was created.

3. How did they determine that EET was a sound idea? Did they use a feasibility analysis? What ideas did they discard before deciding on EET?

a) They tested their idea in the market place to find out whether they could sell it

b) They used “economics of once unit”

c) They started slowly, with a scaled down version of the program.

d) They rejected creating young entrepreneur book lines and applying the entrepreneurial mindset to various career book lines

4. What are the key messages that the EET delivers to prospective entrepreneurs?

One of two key messages was delivered to prospective entrepreneurs. 1) Entrepreneurship, or 2) Dream action, the entrepreneurial mindset

5. EET is a family business. How do Michael and Sheena address the issues of balancing the demands of the business with those of the family?

1. By setting limits and expectations to help minimize the stress of the business on their relationship

2. Specific times were aside for work, family, and personal time

3. They believed in the importance of communication
