Larson Business Recommendations

Larson must consider the alternative economic futures for their industry. In any market, economic conditions changes over time. The company must be able to adapt and change with the economy to have a successful outcome. The company needs to find solutions for the changing economy to keep increasing their revenue and decreasing their costs. The economy may go through a recession, expansion and peaks over their years in business. Larson, Inc. needs to analyze the difference scenarios and determine the best course of action for each type of economic future. In addition, the company must consider the business cycle to make well-informed decisions. In this paper, we will discuss three alternative economic futures for Larson that might occur the next five years. It will also explain the likelihood of economic futures. An appropriate course for Larson to make business decisions based on the projected macro-economic condition. It also explains evidence that supports recommendations and how the recommendations might need to be modified for economic futures (University of Phoenix, (2010).

Alternative Economic Futures

Larson needs to have plans for all the market projections over the next few years. If the current recession persists and expansion comes slower than predicted, Larson should prepare to make adjustments to survive, but come out of the recession. The first issue to consider is branding. It needs to be mandatory that Larson have a strong brand name and image to compete with the competitors in the growing field. It needs to have a marketing strategy based on packaging and storing as the first step in having Larson as a product of quality, and not just your ordinary battery. Larson should research the development of new products and improvements, but limit to developing technologies implemented in more items such as laptop computers and cell phones.
