Information Technology is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise. Several industries are associated with information technology, such as computer hardware, software, electronics, semiconductors, internet, telecom equipment, e-commerce and computer services. The reality of it is if they don't have control of their inventory, they will be unable to ascertain they will have enough inventories on hand to handle the needs of their customers. Even worse than that--they will not have enough supplies on hand to produce the products they need to meet the needs of their customers. Inventory management is very important in order to control the inflow and out flow of the company productions, goods and assets. It will help also to determine the profit and loss.  Without inventory management it would be difficult for any company to maintain control and be able to handle the needs of their customers. They use a fulfilment company or ship products they need to know where their inventory is and where it's going. Unless they can meet the needs of their customers they will soon lose all of them to competitors who are able to meet their requirements, no matter how stringent.

In early days, most establishments record their inventory manually by listing it down in a record book. Later on they found out that they can use computer to make their inventory count more accurate and it also makes their work easier and efficient. Now, we’re already in the era of technology. It is considered the most important advancement that brought the world to many changes and great progress. These changes in effect make our lives easier and more convenient.
