A. Test Plan

1. Software testing

The target of the proposed system is the JM Seashore Construction Supply and it will be used by the manager and the sales clerk. In testing the software, the proponents will use web-based testing software in order to locate the errors and to debug the system. Software testing is important because through this we will know if the system meets the requirements that guided its design and development and if works as expected.

2. Performance Testing

In the performance testing of the system, the proponents will use the system and will be run in the given hardware and software specifications in order to see if the system performs well. It enables the users to determine the capacity of the system in terms of storing, classifying and sorting the data. Through this the proponents will identify the problems that might occur using the system.

B. Migration Plan

1. Conversion Plan

JM Seashore Construction Supply is using the manual process of recording their inventories, wherein they count their deliveries and supplies one by one, and they just record it in a record book which is not safe for the entity. This manual process will then be converted into the proposed system entitled “Inventory System for JM Seashore Construction Supply using Barcode Technology”. Furthermore, the inventory records will be stored in a more secured place; there is no need for recording it in a record book. This proposed system will lessen human error, the time of making an inventory count, the possibility that the employee will manipulate the inventory, and the misstatements of the inventory account. This proposed system will also help them to improve their inventory system, make their work easier and convenient.
