"Tobacco advertising ban"

It is well known that advertising is the motor trade. Tobacco and its advertising have spread around the world at the speed of thought, easily and quickly conquering foreign lands, cities and markets. Globally, billions are spent each year by tobacco companies on promotion, sponsorship and advertising of their products. Tobacco advertising increases tobacco consumption that in turn kills people.

I believe that smoking is harmful to health and a lot of people also do know that but it doesn’t make them to stop smoking. This bad habit have joined men, women, young people, teenagers and even children. There is the fashion for smoking: cigarettes give the girls special elegance and masculinity for boys.

Today the Russian tobacco market volume is 250 billion cigarettes a year. This supply exceeds demand. 80% of or population are smoking, so in my opinion tobacco advertising should be banned.

First of all tobacco is the second leading cause of death in the world. Tobacco advertising creates a positive climate of social acceptability and desirability of smoking. While tobacco products are the only freely available products that kill half of all those who use them in strict accordance with the intentions of producers. Four million men and women in the world die every year due to consumption of these products. Every 300 people in Ukraine died from tobacco-related diseases.

Secondly, sponsorship is just one of the types of tobacco advertising

Advertising through sponsorship of sports and cultural events are three main benefits to the tobacco industry. These advertisements may pass the advertisement prohibition thus more advertising tobacco falls on the television screen than it would otherwise. Just sponsorship usually creates grateful and financially dependent clients, which often rely on in support of the tobacco industry. Perhaps most obvious sponsorship creates an association of athletic prowess and splendor of art with cigarettes....
