Energy Resource Plan

In today’s society there are many issues that plague us and one of those issues is our usage of energy. We find ourselves using more and more energy day by day but find our resources for making that energy going down at the same time. As our population of our country and our world increases the demand for energy will only increase making the process of generating energy even more important. We currently have two types of energy resources and they are renewable and nonrenewable.

Renewable resources are “any natural resources that can be replenished naturally with the passage of time.”  ("The Free Dictionary", 2013) Some of the resources that we have that could be utilized and are renewable are like wind power, hydro electric, and geothermal power. These types of resources are readily available and don’t run our like the nonrenewable resources. For example in wind power you uses a wind turbine to generate electricity and there is never a time that the wind will stop blowing for good it is a constant thing that is available to us alone with the movement of water to help generate power through hydro electric plants.

Nonrenewable resources definition is “ of or relating to an energy source, such as oil or natural gas, or a natural resource, such as metallic ore, that is not replaceable after it has been used up.”  ("The Free Dictionary", 2013) These resources such as oil, coal, and natural gas come to us in limited quantities and we should use them only when we need to because once they are gone they are gone for good. It took the earth millions of years to produce these resources and we are using them faster than they can ever be remade by the earth. Right now we have a heavy reliability on them and need to start looking for alternatives that can lessen our need on them or remove our need all together.

Another way we can help in our energy crisis is to conserve energy better in our...
