Information System Business Problem Dimensions

Consider the following questions and provide substantive responses of at least 150 words per question (300 word total minimum, but watch that you meet the word requirement per question)

• What are the three dimensions of business problems? Provide examples of each.

The three dimensions of business problems are people, organization, and technology (Laudon & Laudon, 2013, p.111). With people, the problems for business can be inexperience or lack of qualification; the demand to fill a position within the business without the available person that holds the required experience. Another example of people can be with those in management positions; if someone with poor judgment is placed at the helm of an organization and continues to make bad decisions for the direction of the business, this could bring up some problems that could ultimately destroy the company’s credibility and financial income potential. I think people and organizational problems are closely related as the majority of organizational business problems are the result of standard operation procedures and business processes that were implemented by management with the organization. Reimaging an organization to appeal to a new audience could also prove unfavorable to business operations. I believe these organizational problems are more noticeable to the public than the more internal people problems. Technology problems within a business could be from the software or hardware that is used to assist personnel with keeping the business in working order. Another problem is how rapidly technology can improve and keeping up with this kind of advancement can be very costly.
