1. The scope and appropriates of marketing function in satisfying human needs and wants

Abstract

A brief history of marketing has raised many researches with the intention to enhance the marketing system in the global. The elaboration regarding marketing and its function in fulfilling human needs and wants actively discuss which can be use to assist the marketers in pursuing their objectives.

A broader scope of marketing which includes the use of 4Ps as the effective tools in managing the marketing styles and always up to date based on the latest competitive environment. In the current standing of the predominant marketing where the customers are the Centre focus the function of marketing in all the sub discipline of marketing including consumer marketing, relationship marketing, services marketing, retail marketing and the industrial marketing.

Introduction

The term of marketing has evolved over time and today marketing is based around providing continual benefits to the customer in the transactional exchange. Most people including the researcher describe marketing is to selling and advertise only. Though both are important, however, there are lots more marketing function that need to be complied in order to penetrate the market. Marketing needs to be understood as the methods to satisfy the customer beyond the traditional marketing sense of telling and selling.

In contrast, the marketing need to initiate long before the company come with the products. It is kind of homework of the management team to assess the needs and measure their capability to determine the profitable opportunity in the market. Marketing continuously go along the product’s life cycle to find the new customers and keep current customers by improving the products appeal and performance.
