EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Nestle was founded in 1886 by Henri Nestle. It started off with one man’s initiatives to produce infant formula (for infants who are intolerant to their mother’s milk) and grew into a multi-national cooperation worldwide. Nestle has more than 250,000 employees worldwide and factories all around globally. Nestlé is more than just the largest food and beverage Company in the world. It is now evolving as the world’s leader in nutrition, health and wellness.

Next, Nestlé's commitment to providing quality products to Malaysians dates back almost 100 years ago. Nestlé began in Malaysia in 1912 as the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company (Susu Cap Junjung) in Penang and later, growth and expansion made a move to Kuala Lumpur in 1939. Since 1962, with its first factory in Petaling Jaya, Nestlé Malaysia now manufactures its products in 7 factories and operates from its head office in Mutiara Damansara.

Moreover, Nestle’s vision is to be the leader in Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company by delivering world-class products of the highest consistent quality, reliability and convenience based on business excellence principles throughout the operation. Nestlé’s core aim is to enhance the quality of consumer’s lives every day, everywhere by offering tastier and healthier food and beverage choices and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Nestle express this via their corporate proposition 'Good Food, Good Life'.
