Comparative evaluation of Samsung (smartphone & smartwatch) with other branded smartphone:

Samsung Galaxy series serves two segments: business and lifestyle segments, and has significant market share in both. Its business / productivity is the Samsung Galaxy Note III, that has consistently been rated amongst the best, currently available, phones in the market (CNET, BGR, PhoneArena). Even though it's technological specifications are far superior to those of its nearest competitors, such as the iPhone 5S, Samsung Galaxy Note III is not the most expensive phone in the market. To give an overview,

Samsung has included top of the line specifications in the Galaxy Note III. It's an LTE/HSPA+ 5.7” handset, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC comprising a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 GPU, supported by 3GB of RAM. These specifications, when compared with the iPhone 5S’s 4” screen, 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, establish the Galaxy Note III at the current pinnacle of power for a smartphone/phablet.

Samsung also offers its flagship, Galaxy S4, for the lifestyle segment. While its specifications are at par – if not higher – than those of its nearest competitors, HTC One or the LG G2, Samsung has kept its price competitive.

Additionally, Samsung has recently launched the “Galaxy Gear” – a Samsung Galaxy Note III series smartphone compatible mobile accessory. Its USP is that of a wearable watch, that synchronizes and display’s calls, messages, notifications etc. between the Galaxy series smartphones and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. It was launched in tandem with the flagship business offering of Samsung – Note Series (Note III).
