Public vs. Home Schooling

Many parents are reverting back to the traditional homes; mothers stay home and fathers going out to work. With mothers staying home, they are able to take time with their children, give much needed personal attention, attend to their needs, and build a nurturing, loving relationship. Parents can easily send their children to public schooling where someone else teaches them, loves them and builds a relationship with the children. Stay at home mothers can do the same thing as teachers. These mothers can teach, mentor, build relationships, and nurture. There are advantages and disadvantages to public and home school education. While public education offers an array of advantages, home schooling provides personalized lesson plans, more personal attention and has a safer environment.

Home schooling is becoming the latest trend on educating our children. It has many advantages. One major advantage is being able to personalize lesson plans. Children have different learning styles, learn at different stages, and on in their own time. Being able to personalize the lesson plan allows the child to be taught on his/her level, at an individual pace, and curtail the plan toward the individual child versus a group of children. Doing this allows the child to maximize their learning. Not only do they maximize their learning but they can learn without the pressure of keeping up with classmates.

Another advantage is offering personal attention. With the personalized lesson plans, the parent can use the lesson plan as personal attention. Children learn best with one on one communication. They can be easily understood and feel comfortable communicating on a personal level. If there is a child with a learning disability, you are able to focus on that child and give the needed attention they need.
