Students are the focal point of any educationalinstitution. Data and information relating to students are themain focus of any information system developed to support allother activities that pertains to a student life cycle from theiradmission until their graduation. The student life cycle differsfrom one educational institution to another and even the schoolsowned and managed by a single entity could have differentapproach and procedures in providing support and service totheir students. With the college’s four (4) schools offeringdifferent non-degree program in different discipline, approachand methods in supporting the activities of students also varies.This research shows the development of a generic student lifecycle (SLC) management system for the different schools usingopen source technologies and its assessment using usability andother metrics. With the aim of empowering clients and users byenabling the SLC-activities be conducted online, the transitionfrom an automated process to a user-centric information systemhas been achieved to utilize the current technology andinfrastructure the school have and serve as a vehicle to supportthe school’s mission and vision with its innovative and relevantprograms using cost-effective materials and technologies.
