The Uninsured
Government policies are put in place to assist Americans. This includes children who currently do not have insurance at this time. Making insurance for uninsured children is improving, but there is still many children in America who go without it.
Making a policy is a process. There are many stages to developing a policy to put in place. This paper is in accordance with week twos papers of ‘The Uninsured’. This process begins with the beginning stages of the policy process. This paper will focus on the end stages of the policy process with includes: evaluation stage, analysis stage, revision stage, and will conclude by describing the purpose and methodologies process for evaluating and revising a public policy.
Evaluation Process:
After the plan is issued, evaluation needs to be performed to test how well the policy was implemented and if it was successful. The evaluation stage determines if the objectives and goals the implemented policy are meeting criteria. This plan is to make sure the uninsured receive the information on how to go about receiving insurance for children who are currently not insured. This evaluation needs to include the statics on how well the plan is working, demographic areas, and the where the lower income families are that cannot afford insurance (Patton, 2008).
Within the evaluation stage there must be resources available to the public. Resources available to the communities will continue to help provide suitable care for the uninsured children. Organizations in the communities will receive guidelines that need to be followed within the policy.
