The article was written in the year 2000. It begins by stating internet sales are going to increase to 133 billion dollars while business-to-business online sales are going to reach 348 billion dollars. Do to the sudden internet boom, companies will fail to develop comprehensive e-business strategies. E-businesses not only have the same policies and issues as traditional businesses, but also have additional internet issues. Businesses that decide to use the internet have many decisions to make such as what type of site they want to create, how they are going to market their site, what their financial plan for its e-commerce is going to be, how are they going to manage the site, what the content of the site is going to be, and how the company is going to meet its customers’ online needs and expectations.
